Bosch’s futuristic concept bike shows what e-bikes could be

Bosch, one of the leading manufacturers of electric bike drive systems had a futuristic concept e-bike on display at this year’s Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California. The idea behind this bike came from some of their e-bike team imagining what bikes could look like in a couple of years. While we weren’t able to ride the bike, its looks alone were worth talking about.

We took some time to chat with Jocelyn Vande Velde, the lead marketer for Bosch in North America. She gave us more information on what Bosch is up to and how much they’ve accomplished so far. Bosch has recently surpassed 10 years in the electric bike industry and are now up to over 600 employees on the e-bike team.

Bosch is within multiple electronic based industries, a lot of which have been around for a lot longer than electric bikes. Because Bosch spans such a wide range of products they’ve been able to take inspiration and technology from one industry and apply it to another. The Bosch 10-year anniversary concept bike embodies that.
